Forte, the fast-casual wine bar on Belltown's Second Avenue, will become a taco shop. That's the word this week from owner Giuseppe Forte, whose Italian trattoria and pizzeria, La Vita รจ Bella, is just two doors down the street.
Before Forte took over the space four years ago, it housed a coffee shop called Bellino. Now that the McGuire Building has come down, you can see the Space Needle from the sidewalk. So Forte and his new Mexican partners are naming the place Space Taco. Opening is still a couple of weeks away.
