Belltown is dangerous, say nervous outsiders. Yes, there are safe havens, but there are also magnets for mayhem. Second & Bell, First & Bell. Last night, it was Tia Lou's, a nightclub in the 2100 block of First Avenue.

Ridgley-001.JPGEarlier this week, Ridgley Kuang, who owns the two Green Leaf Vietnamese Restaurants (the original one in the International District and a second one in the basement of the Labor Temple, on Frist Avenue six blocks north of Tia Lou) was telling Eater.com that he was finalizing a contract with Tia Lou's to open a third Green Leaf inside the nightclub.

"I've had my sights on that block for a long time," Kuang said. "It's a dream location."

This morning the sad news that a man died after being stabbed outside the club last night.
