Away, in the Manger

The old year fades, darkens. Across Italy, it's the season to put out the mangers, called presepe. These were in shop-windows on the main street in the village of Giarre, on the east coast of Sicily.

This is where I would normally write something snarky. If you pretend to think snarky thoughts, I'll pretend I wrote them.
